The Bullpen
The Bullpen is the sales side of Berg Bat. A rep here is a Closer. You get an approved territory assignment, a code, and a commission on the business you actually bring in.
Who this is for
- You have sold something before and you can point at what it was.
- You already know coaches, programs, shops, or facilities in your area by name.
- You want commission on real closed business, not a flat sponsorship check.
- You are comfortable building business in an assigned territory and being measured on it.
Who this is not for
- You want a code to post once and then wait for money to show up.
- You have never had a sales conversation and want this to be your first.
- You need a salary, a base, or an expense account.
- You would sell any brand. This only works if you believe in the wood.
The honest trade
Both columns are real. Read the right one as carefully as the left one.
What you get
- An approved territory assignment, agreed on before you start. It is nonexclusive unless Berg Bat approves exclusivity in a signed writing.
- A flat cut on every bat you sell, paid by product line rather than as one percentage.
- Gold Label pays $15. Elite pays $40. Legacy pays $45. Raw pays $35. Pro Fungos pay $25. Stock bats and everything else pay 10 percent.
- Room to cut your own deal. You can knock money off a price, and it comes out of your cut.
- Your own discount code so your buyers get a reason to use you.
- Direct access to the maker for specs, lead times, and hard questions.
- Sales material and model knowledge so you walk in prepared.
What is required
- You work your assigned territory. Activity is visible and it gets discussed.
- You quote accurately and you do not promise lead times we did not agree to.
- You keep your accounts current so nobody gets sold twice.
- You represent Berg Bat honestly, including the things a wood bat cannot do.
- You stay in touch. Silence ends a spot faster than a slow month.
Terms, short version
- Gold Label pays $15. Elite pays $40. Legacy pays $45. Raw pays $35. Pro Fungos pay $25. Stock bats and everything else pay 10 percent.
- Commission is paid on product, never on shipping or tax.
- Your code gives customers 10 percent off.
- Any discount you give comes out of your cut, whether you cut the deal yourself or a customer uses your code.
- Commissions count once an order is paid and shipped.
- Commissions earned from the 1st through the 15th are paid on the 16th. Commissions earned from the 16th through month-end are paid on the 1st.
- Full terms are shared during onboarding, before you commit to anything.
